When stunning Indian American dancer, Gauri Joshi, is left catatonic after being brutally attacked by a serial predator, her boyfriend Will Langley and hot-headed ex-boyfriend Kartik Mahajan suddenly find themselves prime suspects. Putting aside personal differences and even suspicions for each other, Will and Kartik recruit Gauri’s rebellious younger sister Veena to help find the killer and avenge Gauri.

Veena rides a precarious balance between tender feelings for her sister and the bitterness of having lived in her shadow. Meanwhile, sacked with grief in his love for Gauri, Will is immediately plagued by cryptic dreams of her, but doesn’t know how to fight for her. Indian American Kartik must fight his own all-consuming jealous rage for Will, “the white guy,” who stole the Indian woman he still loves. As the line between right and wrong blurs, each of them finds themselves at the edge of sanity, losing control and going too far, all while trying to avoid the close observation of the law.

Together, flawed as they each are, and even more so as a team, the three circumvent a faulty investigation and close in on their suspect. But when their suspect unexpectedly takes himself out of the picture, they suddenly find that the real killer is closer to them than they ever thought.

Told alongside the ancient Hindu story of The Ramayana, Seeta’s Demon portrays how far Gods and humans will go, how fiercely they will fight, to reclaim the love and beauty that has been torn from their lives.
